We used to call it environmental protection. Now we call it sustainability.
At Hoffmann, that means that we fire our incinerator and heat our buildings with accruing wood scraps from production, allowing us to do entirely without the use of fossil fuels. This is even enhanced by the heat recovery system; the heat extracted by exhaust systems is recovered and fed back into the production hall. Thus approximately 80 percent of the incurred waste heat is utilised for internal heating.
And the solar energy system that stretches over a 720-square metre area on the roof of our hall supplies the electricity.
Recycling is second nature for us. Packaging and waste materials are separated and disposed of in an environment-friendly manner.
