“MORE BANK for you”: Following fundamental renovations and alterations at the Coesfeld location, the VR-Bank Westmünsterland eG is impressing with a future-proof interior design concept. The Centre of Expertise was reopened on 4 February 2011 following a nine-month renovation phase and now offers plenty of space for both individual and personal client advice and support activities. Additional facilities such as a series of events with renowned speakers are transforming the bank’s space into a place of culture and thus turning the clients into guests.
Plenty of space
Around 1,100 m² of basic space on the ground floor presented the architects’ office, Architekturbüro Bock -Partner A.I.C. from Coesfeld, with diverse possibilities in interior room design. In cooperation with local special firms, including Hoffmann Interior GmbH from Rosendahl-Holtwick, which is responsible for the high-quality furnishing, the “Bank branch of the future” was thus born. In this connection, a timeless style consisting of natural wood looks such as oak and walnut was chosen for the colour scheme, which was complemented by lighting highlights and an anthracite-coloured slate floor.
The new concept initially comes as a surprise for the clients. The core of the open-plan meeting room is an inviting service roundabout, which serves as the first contact point for the clients. Here a feel-at-home atmosphere is guaranteed by a spacious, round lighting element above the roundabout. From here trained service personnel direct the customers to the respective client advisor. Using the internal room occupation programme the advisor - ahead of the client meeting – can then reserve one of the 17 individually designed advice rooms which are named according to regional conditions and features.
Along with rooms on the upper floor, the advisors also have a newly furnished team room with integrated coffee kitchen for back-office work. This has been harmoniously integrated in the room landscape using the dry-construction method and is flush with the ceiling incorporating glass inserts whereby the interior room is additionally filled with daylight.
When waiting becomes an experience
A special highlight is a lounge area with open-hearth fire, which is flush with the rear wall and invites you to stay and enjoy the atmosphere. Flat-screens show motifs of the company’s own developed image campaign, which features Coesfeld personalities in everyday situations and underlines the local focus of the bank. An integrated coffee station, exclusive upholstered furniture and stylishly arranged works of art do their part to ensure that the waiting situation becomes an experience. In addition the waiting zone can also be converted into an Event Location – concealed conference technology in the ceiling area along with acoustic walls make it all possible.
Clearly structured self-service areas with cash dispensers and a free-standing service unit are available to clients around the clock, because after business hours a spacious glass front partitions the self-service area from the Centre of Expertise. |
