Since first appearances count: this apartment block in an exclusive neighbourhood, in Lower Manhattan overlooking Hudson River and Ground Zero to be precise, required a correspondingly classy entrance. The American design team opted for rounded elements in American walnut and enhanced the reception counter with a massive granite top.
