Special features Based on an elliptical design the stairwell takes on a funnel shape from the second floor. Daylight enters through the extensive glass façade filling the atrium as well as the adjoining areas on the individual storeys. To ensure this effect a scroll wall stairwell panelling was chosen featuring joists and solid wood slats through which light can stream into the inner areas of the building.
To ensure the stairwell panelling blends perfectly into the architectural context the architects opted for a concave, organic-looking design technique. Here the vertical joists are slighted chamfered, as if made of one sole piece from the ground floor to the ceiling.
